What is included in an eye examination?
A comprehensive eye examination will include a thorough medical history, including medication usage, and review of vision related problems and previous eyewear. You will undergo a series of tests to evaluate your vision including a refraction to measure your eyeglass prescription.
Your eye health will be thoroughly evaluated to check for a number of eye diseases, such as cataracts, glaucoma, and other systemic diseases that can affect the eye, such as diabetes and hypertension.
In order to properly assess the health of your eyes, we may need to dilate your pupils. If you are unsure of your ability to drive safely after a dilated examination, please arrange to have a driver accompany you to your visit..

What should I bring to my eye examination?
Please bring your vision and medical insurance information as well as a list of any medications you take, including over-the-counter medications and nutritional supplements.
Bring your current eyeglasses and/or contact lenses, even if they do not work, since we can collect valuable information from them.
You can also click here to complete the patient forms on-line. This will save you some time at your appointment.

Do you accept my insurance?
We are providers for most vision and major medical insurance plans. When you call the office to schedule your appointment, please ask any questions you have regarding your insurance, and we will be more than happy to answer them for you.
Per insurance guidelines, we will bill your medical insurance if your reason for the visit is a medical condition, i.e. glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, eye allergies, etc.
Payments for co-pays, deductibles, and non-covered services are due at the time of service. Also, a down-payment of 50% is required to place an order in The Optical Boutique.

Do you warranty your optical products?

What is a Contact Lens Evaluation?
After the completion of your comprehensive eye examination, additional services are required to evaluate you for contact lenses. Additional measurements are made and lenses evaluated on your eyes to determine the best power, fit and performance of the lenses.
For first-time contact lens wearers, we will then train you on the proper insertion, removal, and care of your contact lenses. Additional follow-up visits may be required to further analyze the lenses or to evaluate different lenses.
Contact lens services and materials are not included in the comprehensive examination fee. Our staff will be happy to discuss the range of fees that apply to your level of service and the cost of the lenses that best meet your needs.
Many insurance plans cover some, but not all, contact lens service and material fees. You will be responsible for any fees not covered by your insurance.
